Test #1 Study Guide

The first test of the semester will be on Monday, March 9. It will be comprised mostly of multiple choice questions, with the possibility of there being a small number of questions requiring an answer of no more than a few sentences.

The test questions will be drawn from the following material:

    • The Central Processing Unit
    • Primary Storage (i.e., Memory)
    • Secondary Storage
    • The Motherboard and System Unit (You should know generally what a port is, but you need not know the particular purposes of the various kinds of ports.)
    • Input Devices
    • Output Devices
  • Software
    • Overview
    • Operating Systems
    • Application Software
    • Software Development, Marketing, Licensing, and Distribution
