Section 1.4: Exercises 1 through 8 are recommended. Do at least a few among 9 through 38, as well. 39 through 42 are interesting.
Section 1.5: You are encouraged to try some of the exercises, but the quiz will include no problems of these kinds, except possibly one that gives a very familiar function and several choices of viewing rectangles and asks you which is the best one.
Section 1.6: Exercises 1 through 4 should be beneath you! 7 through 10 and 11 through 14 are good ones to look at. So are 15 through 20, 23 through 26, and 27 through 32. Finally, 51 through 56.
